Nailing

Our nailing department is broken into two subsets:  machine nailing and hand nailing.  Our 13 FMC automatic nailing machines are kept in top working order by our diligent engineering staff.  These machines greatly contribute to Hunter Woodworks’ industry-leading production capacity.  Unlike most other nailing machines, the layout of our FMC’s allow for two distinct quality control points: one at the beginning of the line where the boards are selected according to proper grade, and another at the end to inspect the fully constructed pallet.  Improperly graded material is shifted to other jobs while misnailed pallets are set aside for repair and further inspection.

The hand nailing department is utilized for smaller jobs, or for constructing more complicated units.  Our tables are setup with variable jigs to allow for rapid construction and straight nailing.
